This is our storyboard that we created for our horror movie trailer. It is a step by step process of the scenes we want to accomplish. We have the camera angles and a description of what that particular scene will be like.

Location

In my horror trailer I am going to have a scene where the final girl will be interviewed. So we needed a room similar to a police station. We did get into contact with Norbury police but was not allowed to use the rooms for filming. So in our school we have a meeting room which is like a police interview room. So we decided to go for this as a location for one of our scenes in the trailer.

Carrie

here is all the shots from Carrie trailer. As our narrative is to similar to these I've decided to screen shot each scene so we can copy or recreate the look to fit our story line.

Research

This is another homemade movie trailer which I found. The narrative to this trailer is similar to the movie trailer that I will be having. It is about a girl who gets bullied by a group of over and she comes back for her revenge. The main scenes of this trailer are in school where I will be shooting some of my scenes so I could copy or remake some the scenes from this trailer. Another thing which I found Interesting was the voice over the trailer instead of music. This created the same type of feeling as horror music in my trailer. This is something to consider for my trailer.

I have been watching over homemade trailers that I could possibly use for my trailer, such as props, costumes, location and camera shots. This was the first trailers that that I found and could use elements in my trailer such as the shower scene before the women dies. We see no killing of her but we know by the blood and I could create this with the budget that my group is on.

Test Shots

Here are some images that we took in our group. In our horror trailer we are going to have a hanging scene, which is impossible to do with our budget. So we decided to have a scene with a rope with the main character and then a cut shot to the feet were it will be hanging. The way we decided to get this image was to have our main character to sit on a table and dangle her legs. The camera would be on the floor so it would be a high angle shot of the feet, to symbolise the hanging. As we have not decided our main character I decided to be the model for the test shots.

The first image is how the feet look from the camera angle that we are going to use.

The second image is how we achieved the hanging scene look.

Props

This is what we are going to use to create the blood for our trailer. We are using food colouring which I believe is the best as it comes out as real blood colour, and also with water it creates a good realistic blood. The blood will make our trailer more effective and more life like.

Here is the food colouring on my skin, you can see how realistic it looks.
